5 Stars Great depth finder for shallow water
I use this primarily as a depth finder, instead of a fishfinder. I got it because Garmin claims it reads depth accurately in shallow water. I am really pleased with it. It is very accurate and doesn’t flake out like an older Piranha Max unit I had previously. Also a great price.

5 Stars Nice inexpensive dephfinder
I purchased this unit as a secondary dephfinder on my fishing boat. I was curious to see how it would compare to my other dephfinder that cost twice as much (not a Garmin). The Garmin works just as well, and in some cases better than the other brand that cost more. I am very satisfied with this unit especially considering the price. This one even tells me the depth when I’m motoring full speed across the water (20 mph). The more expensive one on my boat does not tell me depth at full speed. This is a great unit for the money.

A good instrument at a good price. It gives me the basics (depth and fishfinder). I have a good GPS, so I didn’t need that function.

I could give it 5 stars for the graph itself, but I could give it 0 for the universal Transom/Trollmotor transducer. It hangs down low under the trolling motor housing in harms way. (Go to Garmin’s website and download the owner’s manual to view how the transducer mounts to the motor).I broke it first time out. I fabricated a mounting bracket from aluminum plate. So far so good. This product should be available with a puck style transducer just for mounting to trolling motor.

This is a great fishfinder. I looked at these for months, and decided for the money this was the best product. I was right. I love the fact that I can watch fish change depths on the screen.

5 Stars Awesome Unit
Humminbird has done it again. The 343C Portable performed remarkebly well. The LCD screen was clear and display was crisp. The unit is loaded with features.

The suction cup transducer and 15′ cord mounted effortlessly to the bottom of my Clacka Craft fiberglass drift boat.

Water temperatures were 34 degrees but this had no impact on the suction cups ability to stick to the surface.

The 343C carrying case provides a stable base and may be placed practically anywhere on your boat without fear of the unit tipping over.

I highly recommend this unit to folks with any boat, canoe and cayak.

1 Star Haven’t seen anything worse
I bought this camera in ToysRus store, it was $25 on sale. I would give this a minus rating, the cover promises everything that camera doesn’t do. Software is not simplified enough for kids, they have to read and know specific terms. 11-12 year old kid would be big enough to operate it, but wouldn’t care to use it, pre-teen would never even touch a camera like this(no appeal, no quality, no resolution).

Produced No focused steady image in adult hands.

Used as a PCcam – very low quality video.

ONLY 2 SOFTWARE FEATURES ARE FREE, others – you have to register and pay. There is plenty of free software that can be used with any camera and is more fun and easy to use, but for this camera you can only get photos from camera by using included software.

In normal indoor light the image is too grainy to recognize anything.

Poorly designed(stiff) button causes camera to “shake” in kid’s hands, all images are smudged and are under 10K too!

You would be better off without camera at all – too much disappointment.

1 Star I’VE WASTED 3 HOURS OF MY LIFE!!!!!!
I, like so many other people here don’t usually write reviews, but this is the biggest piece of junk I’ve dealt with. I have tried to get 2 of my pc’s to recognize this camera without any success. The lack of support from the manufacturer’s website is worse than a Britney Spears video! I will be sending this camera back even if I have to pay extra for shipping. Please, if nothing else read all the reviews before purchasing this camera and make an informed decision (not to buy this thing). I see from other reviews that even in the unlikely event that by some modern miracle it starts to work….. the pictures will be less that sub-par! I’m giving it one star because there is no way to give it a zero.

1 Star If You Buy It, You Will Be Returning It
I think this is a good idea for a product, and the software worked ok for us, but all of our pictures came out blurry. It also has no flash, and no screen for viewing your photos. So it is zero fun for a child. They can have the same amount of fun with a fake camera that clicks, since the pictures this product takes have no value. I think the manufacturer is just hoping that people are too lazy to return it, or lose the receipt.

Just like all the other reviews here, I was excited by the idea of a digital camera for my son. What a disappointment this was!! The pictures are terrible, it’s confusing to use, and I think this product was just to sell the software, because the camera is worthless!

1 Star Horrible Pictures
This camera takes horrible pictures. We gave one to our daughter for Christmas and now she is heart broken that the camera doesn’t work. We have tried taking pictures in all different types of settings and nothing works. I know it is an inexpensive camera, but I would at least expect to see some of the pictures come out… none of them did. Very sad daughter, very unhappy parents!
